Dancing

The foot work of Fred Astaire.
Dance appeal.
Cutting a rug.
Dance comes naturally to everyone.

Move to music.
It makes you feel good.
Stretch your body.
Have fun.
Lose weight.
Get toned.
Do a lot of dancing.

I love dancing, especially ballroom dancing.

Election Aftermath

The election results are clear.
The path forward is not.

What will happen?
Taxes.
Interest rates.
Markets.
The economy.

We live with uncertainty.
Financial effects—
Some we can’t control.
Some we can.

I think the economy will improve now that President Obama has been re-elected and Republicans will have less reason to obstruct.

Veterans Day

Veteran's Day
Veterans Day:
A day to reflect
on the selfless service
of brave men and women
who chose to defend this great nation,
who risk their lives,
who protect the freedoms
that Americans cherish.

Veterans are proud of the service
they give to their country.
A simple thank you
will put a smile on their faces.

I remember the little paper red poppies we used to wear on Veteran’s Day.  Do people still do that?

America

The remarkable story
of Obama’s rise
from humble beginnings
to a two-term presidency
is a testament
to the greatness and glory
of America.

Billionaires poured millions
into Mitt Romney’s campaign,
but Americans cannot be bought.
Democracy works.

Independent
freedom-loving people,
the people of America.

America—a great country.

The people of America were the heros of the 2012 election. The fought back against voter suppression and voted.

Class

Embrace your inner gentleman.

Feel free to pull out my chair.

I won’t judge you.

Modern women still appreciate small courtesies on appropriate occasions.

Attitude of Gratitude

How can we get on the path of gratitude
when the sludge of everyday life
gets in the way?

Focus on even the tiniest things
that are going right.

Shift yourself out of fear,
out of despair.

Gratitude
even when nothing
is going right.

Get past the obstacles on the path to gratitude.

Cultivate an attitude of gratitude.  You’ll find yourself feeling happier.

Obama Wins

This picture from http://images.news12.com

President Barak Obama
re-elected.

The perennial swing state,
Ohio,
put the president over the top.

An Obama victory celebration.

Mitt Romney conceded.
