A
kid
is
walking on a beach. Hundreds of starfish
have washed up.
The
kid
is
throwing the starfishback into the sea.
A
man asks what he is doing.
The
kid says
he’s
throwing the starfishback into the sea
so they won’t die.
The
man says
you
can’t possibly save all of them.
The
kid
picks
one upand says
“Well, I saved that one.”
Think
big,
but
it’s still …
just one person at a time.
This is an old story that asks the
question: What can one person do? The
answer: Not much, but it is still something.
