A lunge
works your thighs
all the way around.

Works all
your major muscle groups
in your upper legs.

Works your glutes
works your quadriceps,
adductor muscles,
sculpting your legs.

Lunges may or may not give you “sculpted” legs, but I can tell you this based on my own experience, it will hurt.  It will hurt a little when you do them, and then a whole lot the next day, and the day after, and the day after that. But only the first time, after that the pain will be minimal.
