"News print poetry", a form of "found poetry" or "blackout poetry." I took one story from the Orlando Sentinel newspaper each day and transformed it into a poem by creatively selecting words from the story. The words are kept in their original order and no words were added. The 2012 project is completed, but I add new poems from time to time.
I commented on my progress, and about writing in general, on a companion blog: http://newsprintpoetry.blogspot.com.
The painted pianos are charming. When I see one, it makes me smile.Since non-musicians are invited to play them,
and I am definitely a non-musician, maybe the next time I see one I’ll play the
first bar of “Mary Had a Little Lamb.”
