Chicks in the City

Orlando is clucking!

Keeping
“urban chickens”
in backyard coops.

Bringing
a little bit of farming
into the big city.

Loving
fresh eggs
from healthy chickens.

Owning
chickens—legally—
in the city.

It's called the "Urban Chicken Pilot Program", part of a trend for sustainable living.  It starts with gardening and composting.  I garden and compost, but I think I'll draw the line there.  No chickens.

However, when I lived in Virgin Gorda many years ago, I worked at The Lord Nelson Inn. The inn had a backyard chicken coop.  Chickens are fascinating to watch.
