"News print poetry", a form of "found poetry" or "blackout poetry." I took one story from the Orlando Sentinel newspaper each day and transformed it into a poem by creatively selecting words from the story. The words are kept in their original order and no words were added. The 2012 project is completed, but I add new poems from time to time.
I commented on my progress, and about writing in general, on a companion blog: http://newsprintpoetry.blogspot.com.

I love disco dancing. The energy of the music, the romance of the dance. It was the music of my youth. Well, not
exactly my youth. Perhaps the music of my farewell to youth. Regardless, when I hear music I feel young again. And I want to get up and dance.
