Politicians Drone On

Politicians:
You drone on
in your carefully contrived speeches.
Regurgitated homilies.
You holler.
You shout.
You prattle on.
You give us elegant oratory.
Your prose means nothing
when we are left holding
an empty bag of promises.

Don’t accept platitudes. Demand specifics.

Don’t take their word for it. Check out the facts for yourself.

Be an informed citizen and an informed voter.
